Masoor Dhal is a popular lentil-based dish from the North Indian Cuisine and is often made in Indian homes. The dish is made with pink lentils which are known as Masoor dal in Hindi. Pink lentils are also known as red lentils and orange lentils. Note that these are not Puy lentils.
Masoor Dal might be good for the heart as it helps to lower cholesterol and blood pressure levels. It contains dietary fibers as well as proteins which help in maintaining normal blood pressure. It is also a good source of folate which reduces the risk of heart diseases
